Once upon a time, in a village nestled between green hills and tall trees, there was a stream that flowed with the clearest water anyone had ever seen. The villagers treasured this stream because its water was so pure and refreshing that it seemed to wash away not only their thirst but their worries too.

Every morning, the villagers would gather at the stream to fill their buckets. They would splash the cool water on their faces, feeling the refreshing sensation, as if all their tiredness had melted away. Everyone believed that the stream was special, and some even called it the "Gift of Purity."

A little boy named Yusuf often visited the stream with his grandfather. One bright morning, after filling their water jugs, Yusuf sat down on the soft grass, watching the sunlight dance on the surface of the water.

“Grandfather,” Yusuf began, “why is this water so pure? It’s cleaner than any other stream I’ve seen.”

His grandfather smiled, sitting down beside him. “This stream, Yusuf, reminds us of Allah’s name, Al-Quddus—The Pure. Just as this water is clear and clean, Allah is the source of all purity. He is free from any imperfection, and everything He creates has beauty and purpose.”

Yusuf dipped his hand into the stream, watching the water flow through his fingers. “But, Grandfather, how do we keep ourselves as pure as this water?”

His grandfather paused, letting the question settle in the air. Then, with a wise look in his eyes, he said, “To keep our bodies clean, we wash with water, like wudu before prayer. But to keep our hearts pure, we must do more. We must be kind, honest, and always remember Allah in everything we do.”

Yusuf listened carefully, his heart filling with curiosity. “How does remembering Allah make our hearts pure?” he asked.

His grandfather continued, “When we pray, make dhikr, and avoid wrongdoing, it cleanses our hearts from things that make them heavy—like anger, jealousy, or greed. Just like this stream washes away dirt, remembering Allah washes away those feelings, leaving our hearts pure and light.”

Yusuf thought about his grandfather’s words and smiled. He watched a leaf float by in the stream, its edges touching the water as it moved gently with the current. “I want my heart to be as pure as this stream, Grandfather,” he said, dipping his hands into the cool water once again.

“That’s a beautiful wish, Yusuf,” his grandfather said softly. “Allah, Al-Quddus, loves when we try to keep our hearts clean. And when we ask Him, He helps us stay on the right path.”

From that day on, Yusuf would visit the stream often, not only to fill his jug but to remind himself of Allah’s purity. He prayed with sincerity, helped his friends, and did his best to always speak the truth, knowing that with every act of kindness, his heart became a little more like the clear, sparkling stream.

Moral: Allah, Al-Quddus, is The Pure, and just as we take care to keep our bodies clean, we must also work to purify our hearts through kindness, honesty, and remembering Allah. Only then can we truly reflect His purity in our lives.
